Rehab Centre

PowerNouse Pilates now offers a dedicated Rehabilitation Centre providing injury management and treatment. Our staff of health providers including physiotherapists and osteopaths, are university educated and members of industry associations. We aim to provide you with excellent care to the highest professional standard.

Our Rehab Centre specialists in a unique combination of manual therapy and Pilates movements. As PowerNouse Pilates is also home to international Pilates Education system - Polestar Pilates, our rehab centre is based on the successful model from the Polestar Pilates Centre in Miami Florida.

At POLESTAR, Therapists and Pilates Teachers integrate Pilates with current scientific findings to create balanced muscles, improved posture and greater ease of movement.

Real Time Ultrasound (RTUS)

Just had a baby? Lower Back Pain? Incontinence problems? OR just want to check if your Pelvic Floor and Abdominals are working correctly?

Real Time Ultrasound Imaging (RTUS) is a tool used by Physiotherapists as a safe and effective way to both assess and manage clients with deficiencies in 'core' muscles (e.g. Transverse Abdominis, Lumbar Multifidus, Diaphragm and Pelvic Floor). One of its main benefits is that it allows the client and practitioner to view muscle contractions as they occur.  This provides an accurate picture of the movement quality, timing and endurance within the targeted muscles groups. Being able to see contractions in real time allows for greater understanding of where and how to contract therefore enhancing the client's knowledge, and ultimately, their functional performance.  Realtime Ultrasound is a powerful teaching tool for motor learning and control and we are excited to have the opportunity to provide this service to our clients to help them achieve successful and healthy movement.

All Pilates Assessments will now include a RTUS Assessment. For current clients who would like to have this assessment, please book your 30minutes with reception.
